SARASOTA SHARKS - AQUATICS DIRECTOR
The Aquatics Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and financial performance of all aquatic programs and facilities. This role oversees instructional programming, facility operations, staff development, and community engagement to ensure a safe, high-quality, and financially sustainable aquatics environment.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute aquatics strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Establish performance metrics and track outcomes
Program Management:
- Oversee lessons, camps, youth and adult programming, and lifeguards
- Ensure structured athlete development pathways
Facility Operations:
- Manage daily operations and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Financial Management:
- Manage budget and drive revenue growth
- Monitor financial performance
Staff Leadership:
- Hire, train, and supervise staff
- Lead performance management and development
Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain certifications and safety protocols
- Conduct audits and drills
Community Engagement:
- Build relationships with stakeholders
- Support marketing and outreach
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
- 5–10+ years aquatics management experience
Certifications:
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid
- Lifeguard Instructor Trainer
- SafeSport (if applicable)
