We only hire very experienced, contracted  swim instructors and coaches to teach mobile swim lessons at private or home pools, or company owned / rented pools (Denver area only).  

Job Summary:

We are seeking passionate, reliable, and experienced mobile swim instructors to provide incredibly high-quality swim instruction at various client-selected locations. This is a contractor, 1099 position.  The ideal candidate is confident teaching all ages and skill levels, from toddlers to adults, and is committed to helping swimmers develop water safety, confidence, and technique in a supportive environment.  We offer two different offerings: learn-to-swim and stroke development.  We offer this for both adults (18+) and youth (ages 3-18).  

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to clients’ homes, community centers, or other private pools to conduct swim lessons.

  • Customize lessons based on the swimmer's age, skill level, and personal goals.

  • Provide safe, engaging, and effective swim instruction using proven teaching techniques.

  • Maintain constant supervision of swimmers to ensure a safe learning environment.

  • Communicate progress and provide feedback to swimmers and/or guardians.

  • Maintain punctuality and professionalism during all scheduled appointments.

  • Set up and clean up equipment as needed before and after lessons. Swimming Everywhere instructors are required to maintain their own equipment, but can rent it for a season from Swimming Simply

  • Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols, including any site-specific guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years (60+ months) of demonstrated experience as a swim instructor or competitive swim coach

  • Current CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard Certification 

  • Must have a clean driving record and background check

  • Must have proof of car insurance to $100,000 / $300,000 limits

  • Authorization to work in the United States

  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience teaching infant/toddler swim lessons, adults, and/or special needs swimmers.

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.

Success Metrics and Requirements to maintain a contract with Swimming Everywhere:

  • Repeat booking of clients

  • Average 4.8 / 5 star ratings from clients

  • Up to date CPR and Lifeguard certifications

Compensation:

  • $45-$60 / hour of booked lesson time. Swimming Everywhere does not pay for travel time to clients.

  • Bonuses available for 5-star coaches, coaches with repeat clients and coaches who work 20, 40, 60+ hours. Coaches who work more than 25 hours a week for an extended period of time may be offered Swimming Everywhere Premier Status and offered up to $60 / hour.
