Lake Olympia Summer Swim Team
Missouri City, Texas | Summer 2027
The Lake Olympia Summer Swim Team, a member of the Southwest Houston Recreational Swim League (SHRSL), is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and organized Head Swim Coach to lead our summer recreational swimming program.
We are looking for a strong leader who enjoys working with young swimmers, developing competitive swimming skills, and creating a positive, supportive and fun team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise swim practices for swimmers of varying ages and abilities.
- Lead, train, schedule, and supervise assistant coaches.
- Manage swim meet preparation, swimmer entries, lineups, and meet-day coaching responsibilities.
- Coordinate with the swim team board, parent volunteers, and league representatives.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, swimmer development, and a positive team culture.
- Maintain a safe, encouraging, and well-organized swimming environment.
- Ensure compliance with SHRSL rules and applicable safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous competitive swimming and swim coaching experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage assistant coaches and communicate effectively with parents and swimmers.
- Experience with summer recreational swim leagues preferred.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and other required safety certifications, or ability to obtain them before the season.
- Availability for preseason preparation, summer practices, and scheduled swim meets.

Season: Summer 2027, including preseason preparation
Position Type: Seasonal and looking for a long term relationship year after year
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and responsibilities
