Job Position Title:  Assistant Coach Club: Beaverton Area Aquatic Club -BAAC Location: Beaverton, Oregon The Beaverton Area Aquatic Club is a year-round USA Swimming competitive swim team located in Beaverton, Oregon.  BAAC is an affiliate with the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District and practices in their facilities and pools. BAAC offers high-quality professional coaching for athletes of all ages. Our top competitive team in Oregon has approximately 110 athletes who train in our outdoor pool. BAAC has been a non-profit, board-governed, coach-led team-building Champion in and out of the water since October 2020. POSITION SUMMARY:   Under the direction of the Head Swim Coach, the Assistant Swim Team Coach will be responsible for implementing and supervising all team practices. The Swim Team Coach will attend coaches’ meetings, parent meetings, and scheduled swim meets. Part-Time position ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coaches participants in accordance with Wayside Athletic Club guidelines and conducts practice drills as created by the Head Coach/Team Director. Builds effective, authentic relationships with swimmers and parents. Encourages parental involvement and identifies potential volunteers. Engages in positive behaviors that make swimmers and families feel welcome, connected, and confident in their choice to be part of the Wayside Waves Swim Team Maintains accurate records (i.e., attendance, meet line-ups, etc.) and/or the state health department code.
