Job Summary
Under the general direction of Aquatics Supervisor, leads adult swim practices under the guidelines of U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS). Works with adult swimmers of all skill levels including fitness swimmers to competitive athletes and is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive swimming community.
Essential Job Functions

- Plan and lead structured swim workouts 2-5 times per week (60-90 minutes per session).
- Create workouts that accommodate various skill levels and goals (fitness, technique, competition).
- Provide stoke correction, pacing guidance, and motivational support.
- Maintain a safe and positive pool environment, enforcing facilities and safety rules.
- Communicate effectively with participant and Aquatics Supervisor.
- Track attendance and provide feedback for program development.
- Promote USMS membership and local swimming events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Prior coaching and/or competitive swimming experience required.
- USMS Coach Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Current lifeguard certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends as needed.

- Able to work in a hot/humid environment for extended periods of time.
- Abe to lift/move 50lbs of equipment around the pool deck.
- Frequent movement on pool decks that may be wet, slippery, or uneven.
- May stand or walk for extended periods.
- Frequent walking, bending, standing, and reaching.
- Must be able to see swimmers across lanes, identify safety risks, and hear participants over ambient pool noise.
- Regular exposure to pool chemicals, and strong odors associated with aquatic facilities.
