Job Description:
As a Head Age Group Coach of Thunder, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation, support and advancement of age group athletes which includes their short- and long-term goals.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1.     The successful candidate must have a background in senior level coaching and development of swimmers.

2.     Current USA Swimming background check, CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swimming Coaches certifications are required. College degree preferred.

3.     Dryland training experience is a plus.

4.     ASCA certification level 2 or higher is desired.

5.     Workouts run in the evenings, during school, (4-7:30pm), Saturdays (7-9am) and occasional mornings. Summer practices run (7-10am) and some evenings (4-6pm) but subject to change. Meets approximately 1-2 times a month. Reimbursement for all travel meets and educational opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     This qualified candidate will report directly to the Head Coach.

2.     Responsible for all aspects related to the planning, preparation, and implementation of a comprehensive training and teaching plan designed to motivate our athletes.

3.     Preparing meet entries, attend swim meets, and perform various administrative duties as assigned.

4.     Developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, the board of directors, and USA swimming communities.

COMPENSATION

A competitive compensation package will be offered. Commensurate with experience.
