The Chapparal Swim Team is seeking Head and Assistant Coaches for the upcoming summer season. This is a great opportunity to lead a small, close-knit team while helping kids grow as swimmers and teammates. We value community, skill development, and a positive environment more than competition.
Responsibilities
● Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate swim practices
● Teach stroke technique, starts, turns, and race skills
● Motivate swimmers of all abilities
● Foster a positive, fun, and inclusive team culture
● Communicate with families as needed
● Mentor and support Junior Coaches
Schedule
● 1.5–2 hours of practice per weekday, grouped by age
● Saturday morning swim meets and Prelims & Finals at season’s end in July
● Team events including pre-season social, informational session, and banquetCPR
Requirements
● CPR, AED Certification & Lifeguard Certification before season start
● 1–3 years of swim coaching experience
● Strong communication and leadership skills
Compensation
● Depending on role and experience, between $2000-$5000 for the season.
