Deerfield Village Swim Team seeking Assistant Coach

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Assistant Swim Coach to support our summer league program. This is a fast-paced role that requires patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for working with kids.

Responsibilities include assisting the head coach during practices, reinforcing drills and techniques that are taught, and providing positive, constructive corrections when swimmers are struggling. The assistant coach should be able to recognize improper technique and correct it in a clear, encouraging, and age-appropriate manner.

The ideal candidate will help create a fun, supportive, and motivating environment, build positive relationships with swimmers, and contribute to team morale. Assistant coaches are expected to engage with athletes, keep them focused, and help foster both skill development and confidence in the water.

Qualifications:
• Comfortable working with children of varying ages and skill levels
• Patient, positive, and encouraging coaching style
• Ability to follow direction and reinforce instruction from the head coach
• Enthusiastic, dependable, and team-oriented
• No prior coaching experience necessary — just a willingness to learn and grow
