SSC is seeking qualified and dynamic applicants for multiple Assistant Swim Coach positions. Primarily working with swimmers ages 6-14, but should be able to coach all age groups and has a commitment to teaching swimmers of all levels while keeping an engaging learning environment. The interested applicant should have prior swim coaching experience, willing to coach under the direction and philosophy of SSC and Elite Performance Coach Charlie Kennedy and Associate Head Coach Tara Bolivar.
The applicant must be willing to work evenings (practices are held during the 4:00-9:30 pm time frame), and work weekend USA swimming meets approximately 1 weekend per month. The candidate must have (or be willing to obtain) USA Swimming Coaches Certification requirements (which includes Safety Training for Swim Coaches, CPR, First Aid, Athlete Protection Training, Rules and Regulations, Concussion protocol training and others), along with up to date back ground checks (per USA Swimming guidelines).

Salary is hourly, part time and is commensurate with experience. Additional hours available as a private swim instructor, group swim instructor and/or lifeguard at our primary location.

Suburban Seahawks Club (SSC) is a non-profit, 250+ member, competitive USA Swimming Silver Medal Swim Club. SSC’s primary location is a club owned, 25 yard 8-lane pool with a 2-lane teaching pool, dry-land room, office space, in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, with additional swim practices held at the Ware Pool at Swarthmore College.
