Assistant Aquatics Director

Cedardale Health + Fitness is a membership club in Haverhill, MA. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Aquatics Director to join our team for the 2026 summer season (May-September) with potential to become a year-round position. The Assistant Aquatics Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for members, and supporting the full Aquatics staff.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a swim instructor, swim coach, and/ or lifeguard
• Experience in a supervisory role requiring staff communication, scheduling, program design and organization, and customer service
• Current certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguarding required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Be available to work from May 15th-September

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work alongside the Aquatics Director and the aquatics team to create and promote programming.
• The Assistant Aquatics Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for members, and supporting the full Aquatics staff (swim instructors, coaches, and lifeguards)
• Outdoor Season Dates: May 30th, 2026-September 7th, 2026
• The pool operates 7 days a week from 8am-7:30pm
• Lead/support the daily operation and maintenance of the outdoor swimming facilities
• Manage and support staff in the daily operations, cleaning, and maintenance responsibilities
• Teaching of swim lessons and assisting swim instructors in understanding the curriculum
• Assisting the Head Guards with daily planning, scheduling, and preparing for special events/ programs
• Weekend, evening and holiday shifts are required

Key Dates:

• Season Opening Day: May 30, 2026
• Season Closing Day: September 7, 2026
• The outdoor facility is open 7 days a week from 8am-7:30pm
