We're looking for an energetic, dependable Part-Time Coach to join our staff for the 2026–2027 season and beyond. You'll work alongside our Head Site Coach and Site Directors to deliver Machine's training program, support athletes on deck and in the water, and represent the team at competitions. This is an excellent opportunity for coaches who want to grow within a well-resourced, professionally run program.
Lead or assist in supervising athletes during all practices and meets that Machine Aquatics competes in.
Ensure implementation of the training program developed by the Head Coach and Coach Directors.
Coach on deck and in the water when technique skills require in-water instruction.
Assist in supervising and implementing the Machine Aquatics dryland program.
Communicate regularly with fellow coaches so the site staff and headquarters are aware of swimmer progression and development across all levels at your site(s).
Prepare workouts in line with the training plan provided by the Head Coach and the Coach Directors to ensure consistency and overall development across the site.
Attend team-building and social functions when there are no scheduling conflicts.
In the event of an absence, secure substitute coverage; all coverage must be approved by the Head Site Coach or the Machine offices.
Be available for meets where your swimmers are competing; coaching schedules are provided by the Machine offices and the Head Coach.
Review and communicate all swimmer entries prior to each meet's entry deadline.
Guide swimmers on the events they will compete in at each meet.
Ensure swimmers are not repeating the same events meet after meet.
Supervise all Machine swimmers at competitions — not just your own.
Ensure every Machine swim in competition is watched by a Machine Aquatics coach.
Participate in regular check-ins with Machine management and supervisors. Machine pledges to support and develop every coach with the utmost professionalism.
