The Amherst Triton's Swim Team (ATST) is a parent board-run, year-round, competitive USA swim team of over 130 swimmers and one of the fastest growing teams in New England. ATST practices out of multiple locations in the Amherst and surrounding areas, offering high level coaching to swimmers of all ages and abilities ranging from beginner to National level.

Job Description:
As lead coach of the high performance group, responsibilities include creating a year round detailed season plan that allows swimmers to train and compete at a high level, preparing them for maximum performance at NE Seniors, EZ Sectionals, Futures Championship and above. This includes helping create a culture of hard work, commitment and success in a safe and exciting environment.
This position also involves coaching/teaching multiple age groups and skill levels in a role as assistant coach and lead coach. As a lead coach on deck the successful candidate will be asked to plan and write practices with the guidance and support of the Head Coach.
In addition, an assistant coach will be asked to attend USA swim meets (both local and out of state) or cover practices during a meet weekend. As a full time position, off-deck responsibilities and planning will also be required. Looking for someone interested in long time commitment and continued success.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Lifeguard/CPR certification
- Up to date USA Swim certification
- Background in competitive swimming as a swimmer/coach or both
- 5+ years of swim experience as a swimmer/coach/swim instructor
- Experience coaching/teaching young athletes of all ages and abilities
- Full knowledge and understanding of all competitive strokes
- Ability to plan/organize/run practices independently and as part of a coaching team
- This is a full-time position that includes, availability during the afternoons, evenings and at least one weekend day
- Enthusiasm, commitment, professionalism and organizational skills are a must!
