North Shore Swim Club is searching for a Full Time Senior Development Coach. Candidate will be responsible for a specific group of athletes, all weekday practices (AM/PM), attending all scheduled competitions and mandatory events on weekends. This is a coaching position with basic weekly administrative duties that are required for the position.
Senior Development Coach:
· Responsibilities for the day-to-day coaching and management of our 11–14-year-old athletes and hosted swim meet management, reporting directly to the Program Director and Head Coach. The candidate will understand the commitment of time at the pool and the responsibility of being a consistent, positive leader for young athletes. This is not a 9-5 position, but a rewarding opportunity to coach young athletes. Attendance at hosted swim meets, travel meets and Championship meet weekends is expected, based on coach schedule designed by the Program Director.
Qualifications:
· One or more years of swim coaching experience and aquatic event planning.
· Basic knowledge or willing to learn software and hardware of HYTEK, Team Unify, Colorado/ Daktronics/ Omega timing systems, and swim meet applications.
· Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
· Experience with and knowledge of instructing, managing, and coaching children.
· Current Lifeguard/CPR, and USA Swimming certifications and credentials required.
· College degree preferred or actively seeking.
· Heavy lifting and transportation required for hosted swim meets. Weekends required.

The North Shore Swim Club (NSSC) is characterized by the adherence to certain goals and objectives. A highly specialized and certified coaching staff will strive to teach, train and motivate children of all ages to achieve their potential in competitive swimming and create an experience that will prove valuable to them throughout life. This direction and philosophy apply from the novice to the national level swimmer. To ensure a positive experience with the program parents are expected to read and understand this manual and all of it policies.

Swimming with NSSC provides physical, emotional and intellectual skills that will last a lifetime. The NSSC program, places a major emphasis on basic skills, proficient techniques, conditioning and result oriented work habits with healthy competition stressed by the Coaching staff.
