Lead Group Coach/ Meet Director

Our mission at Austin Swim Club is to develop athletes in a safe and healthy environment through positive experiences allowing athletes to reach their maximum potential. We are a competitive swim program committed to small group sizes and personal coaching for all athletes. ASC coaches are committed to develop swimmers with excellence in on deck coaching. We seek to provide an enjoyable and positive learning/training environment with an understanding that athletes develop skills at different rates and aim to offer experiences that value each swimmer as an integral part of the ASC team as they are challenged to reach their maximum potential.  We want to coach, train, and assist ASC swimmers who will strive to make and reach BIG goals.

Salary:

65,000 - 70,000 annually with an opportunity to earn 10% in bonus divided quarterly. Full health benefits

Experience

• Preferably 5 years coaching experience
• Minimum requirement of 2 years
• Meet Director experience

Position Overview:

ASC coaches lead the training of all levels and ages of swimmers from novices to national level competitors.  Each coach is responsible for leading and developing primary one to two groups of swimmers, as well as assisting where necessary. This role requires a dynamic and skilled coach who can inspire athletes, implement effective training programs, and contribute to the overall success of Austin swim club.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive training programs at the appropriate level of the athletes.
• Provide individual and group coaching to enhance swimmers’ technique, endurance, and competitive skills.
• Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages athletes to reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure cohesive training and program development.
• Monitor and evaluate athletes’ progress and adjust training plans as needed.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and the swim club management.
• Participate in hosting home swim meets and events as required. As well as attending away meets
• Coach 4 private lessons a month
• Coach up to 4 Masters workouts a week
