Assistant Age Group Coach

Location: Shalom Orlando/ JCC 851 N Maitland Ave, Maitland, FL 32751

Facility : 6 lane x 25 yard outdoor pool

Duties: ·

·         Ability to teach all 4 swimming strokes to children 5+ years of age.

·         Attend all scheduled practices, meets, and swim team social events (if needed).

·         Assist in the recruitment and retention of athletes

·         Promote a positive learning environment.

·         Communicate information effectively and in a timely manner to Head Coach, participants and parents

·         Attend weekly zoom staff meeting

·         Assist with lifeguarding, when needed.

Qualifications:

· ARC Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED Certified, Required

· USA Swimming Swim Certified Coach, Preferred

· Knowledge of Team Unify, Preferred

· Must be punctual, responsible, and have experience teaching basic swimming technique.

 Experience: Prior experience coaching in USA swimming club is required.

 Work Environment: This position performs the duties in a field setting. This position is also frequently exposed to various weather conditions, slippery or uneven surfaces.

 Physical Demands: The primary functions require frequent periods of standing, walking, bending, pushing and pulling, time sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms and swimming.

Deck Time block: 5-6:30pm M-TH, 3:45-5:45pm F

 Office Hours :  3-5 hours weekly

Hourly rate: $14-$20

Start date:  immediately

Must be able to pass a background check.
