The Barracudas Swim Team is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Swim Coach to support our growing program. As a dual-chartered USA Swimming and YMCA swim team, we provide athletes with diverse competitive opportunities while emphasizing development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. With approximately 300 swimmers across six practice locations, we are a dynamic and team-focused program committed to athlete growth and a positive environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with coaching swimmers of varying ages and skill levels during practices
Help implement workout plans and skill development as directed by the Head Coach
Provide instruction on stroke technique, starts, turns, and overall race skills
Support a positive, encouraging, and disciplined team culture
Assist at swim meets, including warm-ups, swimmer support, and team organization
Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff
Ensure a safe practice environment at all times
Qualifications:
Previous competitive swimming and/or coaching experience preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work with swimmers of all ages and ability levels
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Availability for practices and occasional weekend meets

The Barracudas practice across six locations and compete as one unified team. As a dual-chartered USA Swimming and YMCA program, we offer a well-rounded competitive experience. With a current roster of around 300 swimmers, we are continuing to grow and are excited to add coaches who are passionate about developing athletes both in and out of the water.
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay ranging from $20–$30, based on experience
