Spring Hill Age Group Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SPRING HILL AGE GROUP COORDINATOR 

Location: 2909 Commonwealth Dr, Spring Hill, TN 37174 

Excel Aquatics is a Bronze-level, multi-site program with more than 650 swimmers that ranks in the top 40 VCC teams in the country. We are a 501c3 nonprofit year-round swim club based in 12 locations in the Middle Tennessee area. We currently have 14 full-time staff members, and six main administrative departments within the organization. The Spring Hill location consists of 84 18&under athletes, and is within 30 minutes of downtown Nashville. 

Excel Aquatics is seeking to fill a full-time Age Group Coordinator position at our Spring Hill location. 

We are looking for a candidate who will build a positive competitive culture for the 12&under groups, and help assist with the 13 & over groups as needed. This position will report directly to the Spring Hill Site Coordinator. They will oversee and work collaboratively with the 3 assistant 12&under coaches to ensure consistent progressions from one group to the next.  This position will also work with one of our six administrative departments. 

This position will consist of on-deck coaching, administrative duties, and mentoring of assistant coaches. 

The Spring Hill Age Group Coordinator responsibilities include:

Coaching Roles                            

1. Lead 11-12, and 9-10 groups 

2. Assist 13 & over groups                  

3. Expected, but not limited to, 15-20 hours of coaching per week  

Administrative Roles                                     

1. Digital marketing company point of contact 

2. Statistics            

   1. Assist with meet reports, meet recaps, and camp eligibility tracking.   

3. Open admin            

   1. Assist with other administrative roles totaling 6+hours per week.

4. Administrative hours

   1. Expected, but not limited to, 8-12 hours of admin work per week.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

• Has knowledge and experience in technical training and skill development aspects of training at all ability levels.

• Ability to communicate professionally.

• Ability to mentor assistant coaches. 

• Able to help solve problems professionally.

• Enthusiastic about all levels of swimming.

• Willing to complete continuing education.

• Must pass all background checks and maintain good standing coach membership status with USA Swimming.

• Is a US Citizen 

Compensation:

• The annual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. 

• The position includes an individual health insurance package through Blue Cross Blue Shield.

• Reimbursement for approved travel and continuing education will be provided.

Interview Process 

There will be a 3 step interview process for this position. 

1. Resume review and selection for the first interview.

2. Round one of the Interview will be held with the Spring Hill Site Coordinator, and Assistant Age Group Coach. 

3. Round two of the interview will be held with the top 3 candidates with the Head Coach/CEO and the Business Director.
