Age Group Assistant Coach

Job Description

Highlands Ranch Aquatics (HRA), located on the south side of Denver, seeks an age group development coach passionate about teaching and motivating young athletes. HRA has been a USA Swimming Silver Medal Club (2024 and 2025), with a history of producing State, Zone, Sectional, Junior National, US Open, and Olympic Trials qualifiers, as well as developing collegiate student athletes.  HRA recently won the 2026 Colorado Swimming Medium Team Age Group State Championships, and we're looking for the right candidate to help continue our mission and success. 

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in stroke mechanics and have strong teaching and
communication skills. This individual will also be enthusiastic, patient, and team-oriented. The assistant coach duties will consist of leading or assisting one or more age group squads, and
administrative responsibilities based on the candidate’s strengths. The applicant must understand the importance of teamwork and will be committed to helping our program advance. This is an hourly position.

Highlands Ranch Aquatics Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been developing swimmers at the local, state, and national level for almost 30 years. Qualifications

  • Successfully pass the USA Swimming background checks
  • Current Red Cross Swim Coaches Safety and AED/CPR certified
  • Experience working with children and teenagers
  • Background in competitive swimming with coaching experience
