Ridgefield Aquatic Club (RAC) is a private, nonprofit, year-round USA Swimming club in Ridgefield, Connecticut. RAC serves swimmers from pre-competitive development through national-level training. Job Description
RAC is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Coach to support assigned competitive and pre-competitive squads.
The coach will teach age-appropriate stroke mechanics, starts, turns, underwater skills, racing habits and training fundamentals. Responsibilities include coaching assigned practices, attending selected meets, managing athletes on deck, providing constructive feedback, assisting with attendance and swimmer evaluations and supporting tryouts, clinics and team events.
The successful candidate will maintain a safe, organized and positive training environment while following the direction of the Head Coach/CEO and designated squad lead.
Applicants should have previous swim-coaching, swim-instruction or competitive-swimming experience. Prior USA Swimming club-coaching experience is preferred. USA Swimming membership, background screening and required safety certifications must be completed before athlete contact.
