Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Competitive Swimming (DoCS), this coach will work collaboratively with the coaching staff and lead two (2) practice groups, as assigned by the DoCS.
TEAM Culture Responsibility:
● Embrace the 757swim culture
● Model and celebrate the 757swim values and behaviors
● Be exceptional in the application of positive, consistent, and effective motivation strategies when working
with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff in relation to all aspects of the program
● Demonstrate a cooperative, prompt, and respectful communication style with swimmers, parents, community members, and staff
Wet-side Deck Responsibility:
● Lead at least two (2) groups and assist with other groups throughout the team as needed
● Create a season plan for lead groups that fit within the scope of team goals and objectives
● Administer daily workouts and maintain group attendance
● Attend swim meets as assigned (approx. 1 to 2 per month)
● Supervise and maintain a positive practice and meet environment
● Follow all USA Swimming policies, including SafeSport, and maintain current credentials
Dry-side Responsibility:
● Attend weekly coach/staff meetings
● Send out weekly group update e-mails
● Conduct both group parent meetings and individual parent meetings as needed
● Utilize Team Unify and Meet Manager to create entry files, session reports, and programs for home-hosted meets. Maintain communication with visiting teams.
● Be a college recruiting resource for parents and athletes
● Help recruit swimmers from summer league by attending summer league meets and conducting clinics
● Additional administrative duties to be determined and assigned by DoCS
Qualifications:
● USA Swimming Coach Member certification and in good standing
● Experience coaching national-level athletes preferred
● Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Status:
● Annual Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000 based on experience
● Annual Bonus: $5,000 performance-based incentive opportunity
● Full-time, exempt
