SOL Aquatics is a year-round competitive aquatics organization dedicated to developing athletes through swimming, diving, and water polo. Our mission is to promote aquatics through a comprehensive athletic experience that emphasizes skill development, competition, character building, and lifelong healthy habits. Target Start Date: Early-mid August 2026.

Pay Range: $25-$32 per hour

Role Description

As a Swim Coach, you will lead scheduled practices, support swimmer progression, assist with swim meets and evaluations, and help maintain a structured, encouraging training environment. Coaches are assigned to swim groups based on program needs and may work with different athlete levels throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach swimmers during scheduled practices and assigned swim meets
  • Teach proper swimming technique, race skills, and training habits
  • Foster a positive, structured, athlete-centered training environment
  • Support swimmer progression from recreational to competitive development
  • Track daily attendance using the SportsEngine Motion app
  • Assist with swim tryouts and swimmer evaluations
  • Enforce team standards, USA Swimming regulations, and SafeSport requirements
  • Coordinate swim meet entries and related administrative tasks
  • Verify swimmer roster placement and communicate discrepancies to administration
  • Collaborate with fellow coaches and club leadership to support program operations

Requirements

  • Prior experience coaching swimmers aged 10 years old through High School
  • Demonstrated experience developing age-appropriate competitive swimming programming for youth athletes.
  • Strong knowledge of instruction in stroke development, skill progression, and long-term athlete development principles.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor.
  • Current USA Swimming required coaching certifications, including SafeSport and CPR/AED (or ability to obtain immediately).
