Position type: Part-time/Seasonal 

NorthWood Aquatics Club (NWAC) is seeking a Head Age Group Coach and Assistant Swim Coaches for the upcoming short-course season. We are a USA Swimming - registered program committed to the long-term athlete development, positive team culture, and technical excellence. 

Head Age Group Coach - Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct training for all group levels. 
• Lead and oversee the age group training structure.
• Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors on program direction and goals. 
• Recruit, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches.
• Work directly with swimmers to promote skill development, accountability and growth.
• Ensure practices and program operations align with USA Swimming standards.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive training environment.

Head Age Group Coach - Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of swim coaching experience (age group experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of age group swimmer development.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills. 
• Current or ability to obtain: USA Swimming Coach Membership, First Aid & CPR certification and SafeSport Training.

Assistant Coach - Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily training and swimmer instruction.
• Support the Head Coach in implementing practice plans. 
• Work on deck to provide technical feedback and encouragement. 
• Help maintain a positive and athlete - centered environment.
• Adhere to all USA Swimming and club safety policies. 

Assistant Coach - Qualifications:

• Competitive swimming and/or prior coaching experience preferred. 
• Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for athlete development. 
• Ability to obtain required USA Swimming certifications. 

Compensation  

• Compensation commensurate with experience and role.
